Ang Mabuting Balita, 10 Nobyembre 2023 – Lucas 16: 1-8
MAAGAP
Noong panahong iyon, sinabi ni Jesus sa kanyang mga alagad, “May isang mayaman na may isang katiwala. Isinumbong sa kanya na nilulustay nito ang kanyang ari-arian. Kaya’t ipinatawag niya at tinatanong: ‘Ano ba itong naririnig ko tungkol sa inyo? Isulit mo sa akin ng buo ang pangangasiwa mo sa aking ari-arian pagkat mula ngayon ay hindi na ikaw ang katiwala ko.’ Nawika ng katiwala sa sarili, ‘Aalisin na ako ng aking panginoon sa pangangasiwa. Ano ang gagawin ko? Hindi ko kayang magbungkal ng lupa; nahihiya naman akong magpalimos. A, alam ko na ang aking gagawin! Maalis man ako sa pangangasiwa, may tatanggap din sa akin sa kanilang tahanan.’ Isa-isa niya ngayong tinawag ang mga may utang sa kanyang panginoon. Tinanong niya ang una, ‘Gaano ang utang mo sa aking panginoon?’ Sumagot ito, ‘Sandaang tapayang langis po.’ ‘Heto ang kasulatan ng iyong pagkakautang. Dali! Maupo ka’t gawin mong limampu,’ sabi ng katiwala. At tinanong naman niya ang isa, ‘Ikaw, gaano ang utang mo?’ Sumagot ito, ‘Sandaang kabang trigo po.’ ‘Heto ang kasulatan ng iyong pagkakautang,’ wika niya. ‘Isulat mo, walumpu.’ Pinuri ng panginoon ang magdarayang katiwala dahil sa katalinuhang ipinamalas nito. Sapagkat ang mga makasanlibutan ay mas mahusay gumawa ng paraan kaysa mga maka-Diyos.”

Iisipin natin na pinupuri ng panginoon ang pandaraya ng katiwala, na siyempre hindi maaari, sapagkat kung tayo ang nasa lugar niya, malamang na magalit tayo sa pandaraya ng katiwala. Ang pinuri niya ay ang pagiging maagap nito – sa matalinong paghahanda para sa kanyang kinabukasan upang maiwasan ang mga maaaring maging suliranin sa kinabukasan.
Karamihan sa mga Judio, sapagkat naniwala sila na sila ang bayang hinirang ng Diyos, ay naghintay lamang na dumating ang ipinangakong Mesiyas. Kung hindi sa pag-uudyok ni Juan Bautista, malamang walang naging paghahanda sa pagdating ng Mesiyas. Noong dumating na si Jesus, hindi nila siya nakilala at ayaw nila siyang tanggapin bilang Mesiyas, sapagkat napako sila sa kung anong uri ng pagkatao dapat ang Mesiyas. Hindi sila nag-isip ng iba pang maaaring mangyari.
Tayong mga binyagang Kristiyano ay hindi maaaring magpakampante, mag-isip na sapagkat tayo ay nabinyagan, tiyak na mayroon tayong lugar sa langit. Kailangan nating ipaghanda ang pagharap sa mga pagsubok sa ating pananampalataya, lalo na kung paano at kung ano ang gagawin natin sa laganap na imoralidad at “anti-Christ” na mga pagpapahalaga sa buong mundo. Tayo ay mapalad at lahat ng kailangan natin para dito ay nasa atin na – ang Espiritu Santo, ang mga Sakramento, panalangin, atbp.. Kailangan lang natin maging MAAGAP at laging alerto upang makaranas ng malaking pagkabigo ang mapanlinlang na demonyo!
Panginoon Jesus, nawa ang aming Simbahan ay maging sistema ng suporta na kailangan ng bawat Kristiyano upang manatiling matatag sa Pananampalataya!
