Ang Mabuting Balita, 04 Disyembre 2023 – Mateo 8: 5-11

LAHAT AY PANTAY-PANTAY

Noong panahong iyon, pagpasok ni Jesus sa Capernaum, lumapit ang isang kapitang Romano at nakiusap sa kanya: “Ginoo, ang alipin ko po’y naparalisis. Siya’y nararatay sa amin at lubhang nahihirapan.” “Paroroon ako at pagagalingin siya,” sabi ni Jesus. Ngunit sumagot sa kanya ang kapitan, “Ginoo, hindi po ako karapat-dapat na puntahan pa ninyo sa aking bahay. Sabihin po lamang ninyo at gagaling na ang aking alipin. Ako’y nasa ilalim ng mga nakatataas na pinuno, at ako naman ay may nasasakupang mga kawal. Kung sabihin ko sa isa, ‘Humayo ka!’ siya’y humahayo; at sa iba, ‘Halika!’ siya’y lumalapit; at sa aking alipin, ‘Gawin mo ito!’ at ginagawa niya.” Namangha si Jesus nang marinig ito, at sinabi niya sa mga taong sumusunod sa kanya, “Sinasabi ko sa inyo, na hindi ako nakatagpo kahit sa Israel ng ganito kalaking pananalig. Tandaan ninyo: marami ang darating buhat sa silangan at kanluran at dudulog sa hapag na kasalo nina Abraham, Isaac at Jacob sa kaharian ng langit.”

Ang Imperyo Romano, na sumaklaw sa mga Judio ay mayroong mga Kapitang Romano (Centurion) na namumuno sa 100 sundalo. Sila ay kinatatakutan at kinamumuhian ng mga Judio. Kung ang Kapitang Romano ay hindi mabuting tao, maaaring inabuso niya ang kanyang posisyon at inutusan si Jesus na pagalingin ang kanyang alipin. Ngunit, ang Kapitang ito ay higit na nagpakumbaba at marahil, lubos niyang iginagalang si Jesus. Ang kanyang pananalig at pagpapakumbaba ay nakaakit ng puso ni Jesus at ito’y nauwi sa pagpapagaling ng kanyang alipin.

Ilan sa atin na mga maypagawa, amo o superbisor ng mga manggagawa ang mag-aalala, mag-aabala at magpapakumbaba sa isang kilalang manghihilom upang tulungan ang higit na nangangailangang manggagawa? Sa Sangkakristiyanuhan, labas ang mga posisyon at mga titulo, LAHAT AY PANTAY-PANTAY. Lahat tayo ay nangangailangan ng tulong, sa iba’t ibang paraan. At, LAHAT TAYO ay may kakayahang tumulong, sa iba’t ibang paraan. Tayo ay nagmumula sa IISANG DIYOS na labis na mapagbigay at mapagmahal. Nakakahiya kung hindi tayo katulad ng ganitong uri ng Ama!

kalangitan ng Iisang Diyos;

Milyon-milyon sa atin ang tumitingala sa Iisang Diyos;

Napakaraming anak ang tumatawag sa kanya

sa iba’t ibang pangalan;

Iisang Ama, na nagmamahal ng PANTAY-PANTAY

sa bawat isa.

Maraming paraan tayong nananalangin sa Iisang Diyos;

Maraming landas na bumabaybay tungo sa Iisang Diyos;

Lahat kapatid, walang estranghero

pagkatapos ng kanyang gawa;

Dahil ang Diyos mo at ang Diyos ko ay iisa.

Ang ating Diyos, oo ang iyong Diyos,

at ang aking Diyos ay iisa!
