Umaasa si Jaro Archbishop Jose Romeo Lazo na ang bawat binyagang kristiyano ay nagtataglay ng binhi ng pananampalataya, pag-ibig, at katarungan sa kanyang puso.
Ayon kay Archbishop Lazo, ang binhing ito’y kailangang lumago upang patuloy na maisabuhay at maipalaganap sa bawat pamayanan tungo sa pagkakaroon ng maayos at mapayapang lipunan.
Ang pagninilay ng arsobispo ay mula sa tema ng 41st National Social Action General Assembly (NASAGA) na “Social Action Network: Journeying to Empower Communities in Faith, Love, and Justice”.
“I expect that every baptized Christian has that seed of faith, of love, and justice in his or her heart. And the seed has to grow as you grow and your response because of that faith, of that love and justice will be seen on how those seeds have grown, bahagi ng pagninilay ni Archbishop Lazo.
Pinangunahan ni Archbishop Lazo ang Banal na Misa para sa pagbubukas ng 41st NASAGA sa National Shrine of Nuestra Señora de Candelaria o Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary sa Jaro, Iloilo.
Katuwang ng arsobispo sina Caritas Philippines President, Kidapawan Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo; Vice president, San Carlos Bishop Gerardo Alminaza; Board of Trustees member, Butuan Bishop Cosme Damian Almedilla, at kinatawan ng bawat diocesan social action centers.
Hiling naman ni Archbishop Lazo na higit pang magampanan ng Caritas Philippines ang pagtataguyod sa mga programang makakatulong sa pagtugon sa iba’t ibang usaping panlipunan na ang higit na apektado ay mga mahihirap na mamamayan.
“Hoping that our NASSA (Caritas Philippines) will be able to respond accordingly because we need an appropriate response to difficult situations that we are in, here in our country,” ayon kay Archbishop Lazo.
