Hinikayat ng pamunuan ng Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines o CBCP ang bawat mananampalataya na magdasal ng rosary sa lahat ng lugar at pagkakataon mula ngayon hanggang May 9, araw ng national elctions.
Ayon kay CBCP President Lingayen Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas, sa pammaagitan nito ay mapatigil ang kasamaan, pandaraya at karahasan sa halalan.
Inihayag ng Arsobispo na sa pamamagitan ng pagdarasal sa lahat ng misteryo ng santo rosary ay magkaroon tayo ng mapayapa at kapanipaniwalang resulta ng halalan.
Sinabi ni Archbishop Villegas na pamamagitan ng paglapit natin sa mahal na birheng maria ay malabanan ang katigasan ng ulo, kawalan ng tiwala at kababawan sa pagpili ng ating iboboto.
“Pray ALL the mysteries of joy, light, sorrow and glory EVERYDAY until May 9. Pray as a family. Pray while travelling. Pray in the offices or factories. Pray everywhere for our national elections.By the power of the rosary, we can stop the evil of election violence and cheating. By the power of the rosary, we can win the battle for peaceful and credible elections.By the power of the rosary, we can fight stubbornness, cynicism and stupidity in making our choices. Let the rosary melt our hardened hearts and arrogant lips. Paghihikayat pa ng Arsoibispo na ipagdasal ng lahat ang ating halalan para sa kinabukasan ng sambayanang Filipino at iasa at ipagtiwala ito sa habag at awa ng mahal na birheng maria sa pamamagitan ng santo rosary.
