Ito ang opisyal na pahayag ng Diocese ng Cubao sa pagkakabilang ni Cubao Bishop Honesto ongtioco at Fr. Robert Reyes kasama ang ilan pang mga obispo at pari sa kasong sedisyon.
“Nothing is concealed that won’t be made known and brought to light.” (Luke 8:17) In all things, let our lives always point to the Truth who is Jesus alone can set us free.”
Ayon sa pahayag, nakikiisa ang lahat ng mga pari, mananampalataya ng diocese ng Cubao para suportahan ang mga lingkod ng simbahan sa maling paratang.
“In the light of the recent allegations against bishops and some priests including our very own Bishop Honesto Ongtioco and Fr. Robert Reyes, we, the clergy, the religious, and the lay faithful of the Diocese of Cubao, express our full support for our Church leaders, recognizing their vital role as shepherds and prophets who are called to proclaim what is true and just,” bahagi ng pahayag ng Diocese ng Cubao.
Naniniwala ang mga mananampalataya ng diyosesis na mananaig ang katotohanan laban sa kasinungalingan iniuugnay sa mga pastol ng simbahan.
“Any form of falsehood and attempt to malign the good reputation of others to advance personal interest is contrary to what our faith teaches. The eight commandment is clear – “Thou shall not bear witness against thy neighbor.” The Church will always stand by the truth, no matter how unpopular it may be. It is mandate of our Lord Jesus Christ, who himself is the Way, the Truth, and the Life.”
Inaanyayahan din ng diocese ang lahat na patuloy na manalangin at ipanalangin ang kalakasan ng loob at tapang para sa mga nagpapahayag ng katotohanan sa kabila ng banta sa kanilang buhay.
Ayon pa sa pahayag, nawa ay maging sandigan ng bawat isa ang panginoon sa pamamagitan ng katapatan at pagsusulong ng mabuting gawain para sa katarungan at kapayapaan.
Bahagi pa ng pahayag, “We pray that truth may triumph over falsehood. We pray for courage and strength for people who are afraid to speak the truth amidst treats to their lives. We continue to strive to be good citizens of the country by remaining faithful to the Gospel values of justice and peace.”
