“Abortion has become worst and worst as far as legality in the United States and Canada, and other countries and we know that it’s for a time such as this now, that the story of Abby Johnson needs to be told, that it was God’s time. But not just in U.S., for example in the Philippines, it is illegal, it is never been legal, but we know that as time goes by there’s more and more pressure, politically to make abortion legal. Everyone knows that abortion is happening illegally, so we want to expose the truth about this topic so that politicians, the people, can see for the first time on the big screen what abortion really does.” pahayag ni Manhardt.
“My mother had shared with me when she was in high school she had an abortion. I didn’t want her to feel like I was judging her or I cared about her any less, or I that I loved her any less, or that this movie was about that, because this movie is about redemption and forgiveness and grace and healing… When she was 19 she was on the abortion clinic for the second time, they have called her name and she was lying on the table to have the procedure completed… but she decided that she couldn’t go through with it and so she got up, she walked out and she chose to have me. That was a very profound moment because I had no idea. I have committed to playing the role of Abby Johnson… and I never ever knew that I was here, about to tell a story on the topic abortion, not knowing that I was only minutes away from being aborted myself.”
“It’s really important to educate young people, my son is only 9 years old and we started a conversation about abortion and I took him to see the film, and I wanted him to know what is happening during these procedures and one of the hardest questions that he had afterwards was, “mommy did you ever think of doing that to me?” It is very hard to think but you have to answer or otherwise they will think of a position that you considered it.”
