“I welcome the early release of the December and 13th month SSS pension of pensioners because it will give them- the elderly, the opportunity not just to receive gifts, but in the spirit of Christmas, to give gifts themselves, like the theme for this Year of the Mission, they become ‘gifted to give,‘” ayon sa mensahe ng Obispo sa Radyo Veritas.
“Because they are no longer productive unlike during their younger years, the elderly can sometimes feel unwanted and unneeded. By getting their pension early, they are given an opportunity to give gifts to their grandchildren,” ayon pa sa Obispo.
“It is a meaningful gesture, something that will make them happy and help them feel that they still have something to contribute. The early release of their pension is a very welcome development,” ani Bishop Mercado.
