Ang Mabuting Balita, 6 Disyembre 2023 – Mateo 15: 29-37

ANG SARILI NATING MGA MILAGRO

Noong panahong iyon, nagbalik si Jesus sa tabi ng Lawa ng Galilea. At siya’y umahon sa burol at naupo. Nagdatingan ang napakaraming tao na may dalang mga pilay, bulag, pingkaw, pipi, at marami pang iba. Inilagay nila ang mga maysakit sa harapan ni Jesus at kanyang pinagaling sila. Namangha ang mga tao nang makita nilang nagsasalita na ang mga pipi, gumaling na ang mga pingkaw, nakalalakad na ang mga pilay, at nakakikita na ang mga bulag. At nagpuri sila sa Diyos ng Israel.

Tinawag ni Jesus ang kanyang mga alagad at sinabi, “Nahahabag ako sa mga taong ito, sapagkat tatlong araw na ngayong kasama ko sila at wala na silang makain. Hindi ko ibig na sila’y paalising gutom; baka sila mahilo sa daan.” At sinabi ng mga alagad, “Saan po tayo kukuha rito ng tinapay na makasasapat sa gayong karaming tao?” “Ilan ang tinapay ninyo riyan?” tanong ni Jesus sa kanila. “Pito po,” sagot nila, “at ilang maliliit na isda.” Ang mga tao’y pinaupo ni Jesus sa lupa. Kinuha niya ang pitong tinapay at ang mga isda at nagpapasalamat sa Diyos. Pagkatapos, pinagpira-piraso niya ang mga iyon at ibinigay sa mga alagad para ipamahagi sa mga tao. Kumain ang lahat at nabusog; at nang tipunin nila ang mga tinapay na lumabis, nakapuno sila ng pitong bakol na malalaki.

Para sa ating mga Kristiyano, ang KAHABAGAN ay hindi lamang isang pakiramdam o emosyon. Ito ay isang KAPANGYARIHAN na umuudyok sa atin na tulungan ang mga naghihirap. Si Jesus ay nag-alala hindi lamang para sa mga maysakit, may kapansanan atbp.. Siya ay nag-alala na uuwi ang mga tao na walang kinain at maaaring mahilo sila sa daan. Marahil, marami sa atin, kung nasa kalagayan ni Jesus, wala na tayong pakialam kung ano ang mangyari sa kanila pag-uwi tutal nakapagpagaling na tayo at iyon ang kanilang ipinunta. Ngunit para sa ating mga Kristiyano, kung paano ang Diyos ay hindi nagbibilang ng mga kamalian natin at kung paano ang kanyang kapatawaran ay “unli,” walang limitasyon ang KAHABAGAN.

Noong pandemya ng covid, nakita natin na ang KAHABAGAN ay tunay na isang KAPANGYARIHAN. Hindi lamang ang pamahalaan ang nagbibigay ng “ayuda,” kundi pati mga pribadong tao at mga pribadong grupo. Mayroong mga “community pantries” dito at doon. Sa panahong ito na natapos na ang pandemya, patuloy pa rin ang paghihirap at paghihakos, at ang pangangailangan ay malaki. Tuwang-tuwa siguro si Jesus kung naririto siya ngayon at nasasaksihan ANG SARILI NATING MGA MILAGRO!

Panginoong Jesus, nawa’y lagi naming ibahagi ang iyong kahabagan sa mga taong nangangailangan sa aming kapaligiran!
