“The Cathedral will be closed to all Religious activities on August 30 and 31. During this time masses will be held at the lower Chapel. I ask that these days be days of Prayer and Fasting,” ayon sa pahayag ni Bishop Ongtioco.
“May this act of Penance and Reparation instill in our hearts and minds the sublime Mystery of the Holy Eucharist. Let this be an invitation to a deeper devotion and stronger love for the Holy Eucharist,” dagdag pa ng Obispo.
“First, he wanted to get to the crucifix and then, he was able to open the Tabernacle by taking off the top cover. He was able to get inside the tabernacle. He swallowed some of the hosts. Some he spit out. Some hosts were stepped on. Several tanod from the Barangay and the police were able to stop him,” ayon naman sa pahayag ni Fr.
“I am sure that I am speaking for the whole community of the Cathedral when I say that this has wounded our hearts. But we also recognize the young man’s wounded heart. He will always be included in our prayers,” ayon pa sa inilabas na pahayag ng Diyosesis.
