Ang Mabuting Balita, 9 Nobyembre 2023 – Juan 2: 13-22
DAKILANG PAGKAKATAON
Malapit na ang Paskuwa ng mga Judio, kaya’t pumunta si Jesus sa Jerusalem. Nakita niya sa templo ang mga nagbibili ng mga baka, mga tupa, at mga kalapati, at ang namamalit ng salapi. Gumawa siya ng isang panghagupit na lubid at ipinagtabuyang palabas ang mga mangangalakal, pati mga baka at tupa. Isinabog niya ang salapi ng mga namamalit at pinagtataob ang kanilang mga hapag. Sinabi niya sa mga nagbibili ng kalapati, “Alisin ninyo rito ang mga iyan! Huwag ninyong gawing palengke ang bahay ng aking Ama!” Naalaala ng kanyang mga alagad na sinasabi sa Kasulatan, “Ang aking malasakit sa iyong bahay ay parang apoy na nag-aalab sa puso ko.”
Dahil dito’y tinanong siya ng mga Judio, “Anong tanda ang maibibigay mo upang patunayang may karapatan kang gawin ito?” Tumugon si Jesus, “Gibain ninyo ang templong ito at muli kong itatayo sa loob ng tatlong araw.” Sinabi ng mga Judio, “Apatnapu’t anim na taon na ginawa ang templong ito, at itatayo mo sa loob lamang ng tatlong araw?”
Ngunit ang templong tinutukoy ni Jesus ay ang kanyang katawan. Kaya’t nang siya’y muling mabuhay, naalaala ng kanyang mga alagad na sinabi niya ito; at naniwala sila sa Kasulatan at sa mga sinabi ni Jesus.

Ang templo, tulad ng ating mga simbahan, ay isang sagradong lugar kung saan ang tao at ang Diyos ay nagtatagpo sa isang higit na natatanging paraan. Samakatuwid, isang sagradong kapaligiran ay kailangan upang mapabuti ang pagtatagpong ito bilang paggalang sa Diyos at ang mga taong nagsisimba o sumasamba. Hindi kataka-taka kung si Jesus ay nagalit. Ito ay hindi lamang sapagkat ang templo ay nagmistulang palengke, kundi dahil ang pagsamba ay nawawalan ng halaga at nagiging pabigat lamang sa mga sumasamba. Kailangan nilang bumili ng mga hayop para sa pag-aalay, at kailangan nilang magpapalit ng pera sapagkat isang uri ng pera lamang ang tinatanggap sa pagbabayad ng buwis ng templo. Ang lahat ng ito ay higit na nakapagbawas ng pagiging sagrado ng lugar at ng nagaganap sa loob nito.
Alalahanin natin itong pagbasa na ito kapag tayo ay nagpupunta sa simbahan o sa misa. Magpakita tayo ng paggalang sa pamamagitan ng pag-uugali at pananamit na angkop sa pagsamba. Kung nais nating makipagtagpo sa Pangulo ng Pilipinas, tiyak na hindi tayo maaaring magsuot ng t-shirt, shorts or tsinelas. Ni hindi tayo pinapayagang pumasok sa opisina ng ganito. Sa simbahan o kapag dumadalo sa misa, hindi kung kanino lang tayo nakikipagtagpo. Siya ay ang DIYOS, hari ng buong sanlibutan, ating tagapaglikha, ang pinagmumulan ng lahat ng ating kailangan! Alalahanin din natin na hindi gawing palengke ang simbahan sa ating pagtsitsismis, paninira, atbp.. Alalahanin natin ang DAKILANG PAGKAKATAON na makipagtagpo sa Diyos sa Sakramento ng Banal na Eukaristiya.
Panginoong Jesus, tulungan mo kaming linisin ang aming puso ng mga basura ng kapootan at hindi pagpapatawad, ng ito ay maging tahanan ng iyong Espiritu!
