Ang Mabuting Balita, 03 Disyembre 2023 – Marcos 13: 33-37

“DEAD END”

Unang Linggo sa Panahon ng Pagdating ng Panginoon

Noong panahong iyon, sinabi ni Jesus sa kanyang mga alagad: “Mag-ingat kayo at maging handa sapagkat hindi ninyo alam kung kailan ang takdang oras. Katulad nito’y isang taong umalis upang maglakbay sa malayong lupain: ipinababahala ang kanyang tahanan sa mga alipin na binigyan ng kanya-kanyang gawain, at inuutusan ang bantay-pinto na maging laging handa sa kanyang pagdating. Gayon din naman, maging handa kayong lagi, sapagkat hindi ninyo alam kung kailan darating ang puno ng sambahayan – maaaring sa pagdilim, sa hatinggabi, sa madaling-araw, o kaya’y sa umaga – baka sa kanyang biglang pagdating ay maratnan kayong natutulog. Ang sinasabi ko sa inyo’y sinasabi ko sa lahat: Maging handa kayo!”

Sa pagsisimula natin ng bagong Taon ng Liturhiya, naririnig natin si Jesus na nagsasabi na mag-ingat at maging handa sapagkat hindi natin alam kung kailan ang takdang oras. Sa madaling salita, “Laging Maging Handa!” Mula noong tayo ay mga bata pa, sa tahanan o paaralan man, lagi natin naririnig, “Huwag hintayin ang huling oras!” patungkol sa mga “deadlines.” Baka hindi natin magawa ang kailangang gawin, o kung magawa man, baka hindi magawang maayos. Ngunit sa buhay, walang ni isa sa atin ang makakaalam kung kailan ang “deadline,” o kung kailan darating ang Panginoon. Ang Panginoon ay darating kahit anong oras, at kung hindi tayo handa, kawawa naman tayo sapagkat ito ay “DEAD END” o wala ng ibang patutunguhan.

Ang maging maingat at handa ay tulad ng mga “security guards” na kailangang matalas ang mata sa mga posibleng magnanakaw o mga pumapasok ng hindi dapat, sapagkat ito’y mapanganib sa seguridad at kapayapaan ng lugar o sa tao na pinoprotektahan. Ang maging maingat at handa na Kristiyano ay ang magkaroon ng matalas na mata sa mga posibleng mangnanakaw, tulad ng demonyo, na nais nakawin ang karapatang bigay sa atin ng Diyos na maging mga anak niya. Kailangan natin maging mapagmatyag sa demonyo na laging nagnanais na pasukin ang ating mapagmahal na relasyon sa Diyos.

Paano tayo magiging maingat at handa laban sa demonyo? Kailangan natin maging mapagmatyag sa mga nagaganap sa ating kapaligiran – mga batas at mga pa-uso na minsa’y napakadali nating tanggapin ng hindi ginagamit ang ating KONSYENSYA, o hindi natin munang pinag-aaralan kung ito ay sang-ayon o hindi sa SALITA NG DIYOS.

Ang kasalukuyang mundo ay nasa ipo-ipo ng pagbabago dala ng labis na pag-unlad ng teknolohiya kaya’t nababale-wala na ang tanging mahalaga sa buhay – ang mamuhay bilang mga anak ng Diyos. Huwag tayong paalipin sa teknoholiya. Gawin lang natin itong produkto ng talino na ibinigay sa atin ng Diyos na gamitin ng may responsibilidad.

Tutukan natin ANG DIYOS LAMANG!
