The Veritas846 “Home of Mercy” a spiritual door ornament, was installed in the main door of the family residence of a former cabinet secretary during the Estrada administration on Tuesday, July 26, 2016.
Mr. Robert Aventajado, former adviser of then President, Joseph Ejercito Estrada on economic affairs and chair of the Presidential Committee on Flagship Projects and his wife Mrs. Vet Aventajado welcomed the spirituality of the Jubilee Year in their home through the “Home of Mercy”.
The “Home of Mercy” which was launched on July 13, 2016 in Radio Veritas Chapel, is a religious ornament that may be installed in the main door of the homes to welcome the unwavering mercy.
According to Radio Veritas President Rev. Fr. Anton CT Pascual, through the “Home of Mercy” the station aims to make the mercy of the Father evident in every Christian’s home where we first learn to have faith.
“We aim that the home of every faithful may reach by the spirituality of the Year of Mercy, and this “Home of Mercy” will serve as a concrete reminder to live merciful like the Father,” Fr. Pascual said.
In his Post Synodal Apostolic Exhortation Amores Laetitia, His Holiness Pope Francis said that in spite of the complexity of today’s world, evangelization should start with the family at home.
“The home must continue to be the place where we learn to appreciate the meaning and beauty of the faith, to pray and to serve our neighbor,” Pope Francis said.
The “Home of Mercy” is a project of the Kapanalig Media Community. Kapanalig is a Church Community On-Air composed of individuals, Church institutions and organizations supporting Veritas’s social communications ministry. In turn, they are provided with formation programs, special prayer intentions, blessings by bishops during their birthdays, and are able to take part in both on-air and online promotions by Radio Veritas. To date, the community has more than 43, 000 members.
