Ang Mabuting Balita, 20 Oktubre 2023 – Lucas 12: 1-7

LABIS NA MAHALAGA

Noong panahong iyon, samantalang dumaragsa ang libu-libong tao, anupat nagkakatapakan sila, nagsalita muna si Jesus sa kanyang mga alagad, “Mag-ingat kayo sa lebadura ng mga Pariseo – ito’y ang pagpapaimbabaw. Walang natatago na di malalantad, at walang nalilihim na di mabubunyag. Anumang sabihin ninyo sa dilim ay maririnig sa liwanag at anumang ibulong ninyo sa mga silid ay ipagsisigawan.

“Sinabi ko sa inyo, mga kaibigan, huwag ninyong katakutan ang mga pumapatay ng katawan, at pagkatapos ay wala nang magagawa pa. Sasabihin ko sa inyo kung sino ang dapat ninyong katakutan: katakutan ninyo yaong pagkatapos na pumatay ay may kapangyarihan pang magbulid sa impiyerno. Sinasabi ko sa inyo, ang Diyos ang dapat ninyong katakutan!

Hindi ba ipinagbibili sa halagang dalawang pera lamang ang limang maya? Gayunman, kahit isa sa kanila’y hindi pinababayaan ng Diyos. Maging ang buhok ninyo’y bilang na lahat. Kaya, huwag kayong matakot; higit kayong mahalaga kaysa mga maya.”

May kasabihan sa Ingles, “Birds of the same feather, flock together.” Ibig sabihin, madalas ang pinipili natin maging kaibigan ay yung mga taong katulad natin. Kaya, kung tayo ay mabait, pinipili nating maging kaibigan ang mga taong mababait. Kung tayo naman ay masama, pinipili nating maging kaibigan ang mga taong masama. Isang simpleng halimbawa ay yaong sa isang mag-aaral. Kung nais ng mag-aaral na maging magaling sa paaralan, pipiliin niyang maging kaibigan ang mga mag-aaral na mahilig mag-aral. O sa lugar na pinaghahanap buhayan, kung gusto ng isang manggagawa na maging mahusay sa trabaho, sisikapin niyang maging malapit sa isang manggagawa na masipag at masikap, atbp..

ANG ATING PINIPILI ang siyang magiging buhay natin. Hindi natin maaaring sisihin na lang lagi ang kalagayan o sitwasyon natin o mga taong nasa paligid natin. Maaari nating piliin na maging pinakamahusay na tao kung pipiliin nating gabayan tayo ng mga taong magtuturo sa atin ng kabutihan. Maaari nating piliing matuto sa mga taong magtuturo sa atin ng tamang landas sa buhay. Maaari nating piliin na maglalapit sa Diyos na pinakamakapangyarihan at may kakayahang ibigay sa atin ang lahat ng biyaya upang manatiling matatag at mabuti sa gitna ng mga taong nagnanais na sirain ang ating espiritu upang tayo ay mabulid sa impiyerno. Sinasabi ni Jesus na huwag tayong matakot sapagkat sa Diyos, tayo ay LABIS NA MAHALAGA!

Panginoon, turuan mong piliin namin lagi ang Diyos!
