Ang Mabuting Balita, 01 Nobyembre 2023 – Mateo 5: 1-12a
MAKITA ANG DIYOS
Noong panahong iyon, nang makita ni Jesus ang napakakapal na tao, umahon siya sa bundok. Pagkaupo niya’y lumapit ang kanyang mga alagad, at sila’y tinuruan niya ng ganito:
“Mapalad ang mga aba na wala nang inaasahan
kundi ang Diyos, sapagkat makakasama sila sa
kanyang kaharian.”
“Mapalad ang mga nahahapis sapagkat aaliwin
sila ng Diyos.”
“Mapalad ang mga mapagpakumbaba,
sapagkat tatamuhin nila ang ipinangako ng Diyos.” “Mapalad ang mga nagmimithing makatupad
sa kalooban ng Diyos, sapagkat ipagkakaloob
sa kanila ang kanilang minimithi.”
“Mapalad ang mga mahabagin,
sapagkat kahahabagan sila ng Diyos.”
“Mapalad ang mga may malinis na puso,
sapagkat makikita nila ang Diyos.”
“Mapalad ang mga gumagawa ng daan sa
ikapagkakasundo, sapagkat sila’y ituturing
ng Diyos na mga anak niya.”
“Mapalad ang mga pinag-uusig dahil sa
kanilang pagsunod sa kalooban ng Diyos,
sapagkat makakasama sila sa kanyang kaharian.”
“Mapalad kayo kapag dahil sa aki’y inaalimura
kayo ng mga tao, pinag-uusig at pinagwiwikaan
ng lahat ng uri ng kasamaan na pawang
kasinungalingan.
Magdiwang kayo at magalak, sapagkat malaki
ang inyong gantimpala sa langit.”

Noong panahon ni Jesus, ang mga Judio ay mayroon 613 na utos na tinatawag nilang Batas ni Moises. Isipin na lang natin, ni hindi lahat tayo ay maisasaulo ang 10 Utos, paano pa kung 613? Ipinagmamalaki ng mga eskriba at Pariseo ang kanilang pagiging “interpreter” ng Batas ni Moises, at ipinaniniwala nila ang mga tao na sila ay gagantimpalaan o parurusahan ng Diyos ayon sa batas na ito. Kaya’t hindi kataka-taka na nahirapan ang mga Judio sumunod sa mga ito, at kadalasa’y nahuhusgahan na mga makasalanan. Sa paraan ng pagtuturo ng mga eskriba at Pariseo, ang ugnayan ng Diyos at tao ay naging simpleng ugnayan ng tagapagpatupad ng utos at alipin. Isipin natin ngayon, si Jesus ay nagsasalita tungkol sa pagiging mapalad sa halip ng panghuhusga. Napakalaki ng kaibahan ng pagsasalita niya sa mga eskriba at Pariseo. Tunay ngang ang BEATITUDES ay nagbibigay ng kaginhawaan, pag-asa at inspirasyon sa mga nagnanais na MAKITA ANG DIYOS. At oo, sa tulong ng biyaya ng Diyos, maaari nating maabot ang mga tala sa kataas-taasan ng langit! Nariyan sila para sa ating lahat!
Sa pagdiriwang natin ng Dakilang Kapistahan ng Lahat ng mga Banal (kabilang na ang mga kamag-anak at kaibigan natin na ngayo’y nasa langit), hilingin natin na ipanalangin nila tayo upang manatili tayong mapalad buong buhay, habang buong pag-asa nating hinihintay ang pagdating ng ating Tagapaglitas na si Jesukristo!
