Ito ang binigyan diin ng mga opisyal ng Simbahang Katolika sa paulit-ulit na batikos ng Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
Iginiit ni CBCP-Episcopal Commission on Mission chairman Sorsogon Bishop Arturo Bastes at CBCP-Episcopal Commission on the Laity Chairman Manila Auxiliary Bishop Broderick Pabillo na hindi dapat seryosohin ang mga “non-sense” na pahayag ng Pangulong Duterte laban sa Simbahang Katolika.
Ayon kay Bishop Bastes, mahalagang ipagsawalang bahala na lamang ang mga pahayag ng pangulo. “It is non-sense. So don’t take seriously the pronouncements of Du30. The best is simply to ignore such remarks.”pahayag ni Bishop Bastes sa Radio Veritas
Para naman kay Bishop Broderick Pabillo walang value at hindi pinag-isipan ng Pangulong Duterte ang kanyang mga pinagsasabi sa media.
“What he says has no value anyway kasi hindi naman niya pinag-iisipan.”pahayag ni Bishop Pabillo.
Naninindigan din si CBCP-Permanent Committee on Public Affairs Chairman out-going Lipa Archbishop Ramon Arguelles, Bishop Bastes, Bishop Pabillo at CBCP Permanent Committee on Cultural Heritage Chairman Kalookan Bishop Pablo Virgilio David na mabibigo lamang ang Pangulong Duterte kung layunin nitong pabagsakin ang Simbahan na tutol sa kanyang mga anti-poor at anti-life policies.
Inihayag ng mga Obispo na marami na ang nagtangkang pabagsakin ang Simbahan sa nakalipas na 2,000-taon ngunit lahat sila ay nabigo.

Nanindigan sina Archbishop Arguelles at Bishop David na ang mga batikos at pag-atake ay lalong magpapatatag sa Simbahang Katolika dahil si Hesus ang nagbibigay buhay sa institusyon.

Weakness (immorality, sensuality, infidelity, materialism) especially of its leaders enfeebles the Church but can never end it, because while the members if Christ struggle so much against human weakness Christ Himself is God”.pahayag ni Archbishop Arguelles sa Radio Veritas
