Ang Mabuting Balita, 15 Disyembre 2023 – Mateo 11: 16-19

PANTAY-PANTAY

Noong panahong iyon, sinabi ni Jesus sa mga tao, “Sa ano ko nga ihahambing ang mga tao ngayon? Katulad sila ng mga batang nakaupo sa plasa at sumisigaw sa kanilang mga kalaro, ‘Tinugtugan namin kayo ng plauta, ngunit hindi kayo sumayaw! Nanambitan kami, ngunit hindi kayo tumangis!’ Sapagkat naparito si Juan na nag-aayuno at di umiinom ng alak, at sinasabi nila, ‘Inaalihan siya ng demonyo!’ Naparito rin ang Anak ng Tao, na kumakain at umiinom, at sinasabi naman nila, ‘Masdan ninyo ang taong ito! Matakaw at naglalasing, kaibigan ng mga publikano at mga makasalanan!’ Gayunman, ang karunungan ng Diyos ay napatutunayang tama sa pamamagitan ng kanyang mga gawa.”

Karamihan sa atin, nakikita natin sa iba kung ano ang gusto nating makita. Kung may taong ayaw sa atin, hindi natin mapipilit na magustuhan niya tayo kahit pa magsumikap tayo. Mauuwi lang ito sa “stress” at mag-aaksaya lang tayo ng panahon. Hindi inintindi ni Jesus kung ano ang naririnig niya tungkol sa kanyang sarili, maging galing sa kanyang mga kritiko o galing sa kanyang mga tagasunod. Nanatili siyang NAKATUTOK sa kanyang misyon ng pagliligtas. Kadalasan, ang sanhi ng ating mga kabiguan sa buhay ay ang pagpupumilit natin na tayo ay tanggapin ng iba, matanggap ang kanilang paghanga, matanggap ang kanilang pagmamahal, atbp.. Sa Diyos, hindi natin kailangang magsumikap. Nakikita niya ang lahat ng mabubuting ginagawa natin, kahit pa maliliit na bagay at kanyang pinahahalagahan ang mga ito. Maging maliit man o malaki ang mga kabutihang ginagawa natin, PANTAY-PANTAY ang kanyang pagmamahal sa bawat isa sa atin na kanyang mga anak!

Salamat sa iyong pagmamahal, O Panginoon, bagama’t kami ay may mga kahinaan!
