The WORD. The TRUTH.

 7,641 total views

We live in an imperfect world. That is true. What we often forget is that the reason for the imperfection of the world is not other people but us—you and I. If the world is imperfect, it is not because you and I are surrounded by evil men and women. If the world is imperfect, it is because we have contributed to the imperfection of the world. And for the third time in ten days, the parable of the wheat and the weeds is presented to us in the liturgy. Three times in ten days. Why so? Because it is so difficult for us to understand and realize and accept and admit that we are weeds and not wheat.
